Welcome! Kieran and Aidan join STORY22

When a business grows, so must the team, so we are delighted to welcome Aidan Leith and Kieran Webb to the STORY22 team on summer internships.

Aidan and Kieran landed their internships through STORY22’s involvement in the University of Kent’s Employability Points Scheme. This is our second year participating in the scheme, and once again, we were blown away by the talent of the candidates applying for our internship.

What is the Employability Points Scheme?

The Employability Points Scheme works closely with businesses from a variety of industries to give students exciting employment opportunities ranging from summer internships to work experience placements and fireside chats. The scheme is bespoke to the University of Kent and encourages students to earn points through voluntary work and co-curricular activities, enabling them to spend the points on these work experience opportunities.

This is a great way for businesses to help the next generation of digital marketeers gain work experience and find fresh, new talent to add to their team, and we are delighted to be taking part once again.

Sights set on storytelling

Kieran is a journalism graduate who is passionate about storytelling, improving SEO and promoting great services through his work ethic. He is looking forward to learning about different areas of digital marketing as well as using his knowledge of writing to help support our clients. “I’m excited to work with clients to help promote their businesses and get them the customers they deserve.” In his free time, Kieran loves to watch and review the latest films at the cinema.

Creative marketing through videography

Aidan has just completed his undergraduate degree in Media studies, having also studied a year in Film at California State University. He studied a range of different mediums, from graphic design to social media  marketing, but is especially passionate about videography, making music videos and short films in his spare time. “I am excited to get involved with creative marketing at STORY22  and hope my knowledge of videography can help the team expand on the great work they do already.” Outside of work, Aidan is a keen footballer and lifelong fan of Gillingham FC.

STORY22 Co-founder Julie Firth said: “We have loved being part of the Employability Points Scheme again this year and are thrilled to have two new members join our team. With their fresh knowledge from university, they will undoubtedly bring a different perspective to our work and will be a valuable addition to STORY22.”

Thanks once again to the University of Kent for facilitating this inspired scheme. If you are looking to get involved and find some new talent for your business, you can find out more about the University of Kent’s Employability Points Scheme here.
